Ghanaian attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus made a dazzling impression in his first appearance for Tottenham Hotspur. Brought on for the second half of a friendly against Reading, he immediately stood out with an assist that sealed a 2-0 win for Spurs, as they ramp up preparations for the 2025-2026 season.

He delivered a pinpoint pass to Croatian defender Luka Vuskovic, who slotted home Spurs’ second goal in the 53rd minute.Signed this summer from West Ham, Kudus had already established himself as one of the Premier League’s brightest prospects after his move from Ajax Amsterdam in 2023. In two seasons with the Hammers, he netted 19 goals in 80 appearances.According to the BBC, Kudus has signed with Tottenham until 2031. It’s worth noting that West Ham initially rejected a £50 million offer before accepting a second bid of £55 million , still well below his release clause, which was estimated at £85 million.For his part, Spurs’ Danish manager Thomas Frank expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance: “It’s been a physically demanding week, but we finish without any injuries and every player got minutes on the pitch.
