Liverpool are all set to travel to City Ground Stadium to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League this weekend. Things have been going smoothly for them in this season as of now. Recently, they beat Chelsea in the final to lift yet another EFL trophy.

In the previous game, the Reds thrashed Southampton 3-0 in the 5th round of the FA Cup. They are also leading the domestic league with 60 points in their bag. So they will aim at registering another victory and pick three points to continue their domination.

Defence

Caoimhin Kelleher continues to impress everyone in the absence of Alisson Becker. Unsurprisingly, he will once again line up in the goal for the Reds. Conor Bradley’s rise as the right-back in the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold has also been eye-watching and he will retain his position.

Virgil van Dijk was taken off at half-time against Southampton to ensure he remains fresh for Saturday’s clash. Centre-back Jarell Quansah will be sent to the bench despite a heroic performance as Ibrahima Konate is set to return to the starting XI.

Andy Robertson missed the previous game due to an illness but is expected to get fit and return to his left-back position. Kostas Tsimikas, who got an opportunity in his absence, couldn’t make much out of it.

Midfield

With multiple injuries in the midfield, Jurgen Klopp will have a headache while formulating the lineup. While Joe Gomez will retain his spot, Alexis Mac Allister is likely to start the game, having played half an hour against Southampton.

Wataru Endo is unlikely to get fit and Dominik Szoboszlai is also doubtful for the contest. Harvey Elliott is likely to take up the midfield duty.

Attack

The story of Liverpool’s attacking line is no different as they also have been hit by injuries. There is doubt over the participation of Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz.
