Moca FC, Weymouth Wales advance to CFU Club Shield Final and Concacaf Caribbean Cup

MIAMI – The 2025 CFU Club Shield continued on Friday with its Semifinals as Moca FC and Weymouth Wales secured their place in Sunday’s Final and collected the last two berths in the 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup.
The two semifinal winners will meet for the trophy, in the process determining where each team will be placed in the Group Stage of the upcoming Caribbean Cup.
Academy Eagles and Club Franciscain will meet in the Third Place Match prior to the championship match
Academy Eagles (4) 0-0 (5) Moca FC
Academy Eagles and Moca FC played to a scoreless draw, with the Dominican Republic club winning 5-4 in the penalty shootout, at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Pascual Ramírez saved the first attempt from Academy Eagles before all five Moca FC penalty takers would convert their attempts and seal a place in the Final.
Weymouth Wales 2-1 Club Franciscain
Weymouth Wales earned a 2-1 comeback victory against Club Franciscain at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.
Johnny Marajo placed the Martinique side up in the 12’ with a right-footed finish in the box.
Jaheim Neblett equalized the encounter in the 26’ with a strike from outside the box.
Shaquille Stewart struck the match-winning goal in the 39’ with a lethal finish from close range to collect his third goal of the 2025 edition.
