MN: Maldini one of several legends to miss Milan’s 125-year anniversary ceremony | OneFootball

A long list of AC Milan legends will be present for the game against Genoa tomorrow, as the Rossoneri will celebrate 125 years as a club. However, some prominent names will be absent from the celebration, including Paolo Maldini.

After releasing the special edition kit to celebrate the 125-year anniversary, the festivities will continue on Sunday evening as Milan will take on Genoa at San Siro. Before the game, there will be a ceremony and many legends will be present for this.

As reported by MilanNews, the likes of Marco van Basten, Demetrio Albertini, Clarence Seedorf, Billy Costacurta and many more will step onto the San Siro turf. Being employed by the club, we also have to assume that Franco Baresi will be present.

However, as many fans have pointed out on social media, Maldini is missing from the list and the same can be said for Andriy Shevchenko and Ricky Kaka. Of course, it was never going to be possible to gather all of the legends but those are three heavy absences.
