AC Milan are close to having an empty treatment room with Emerson Royal now closing in on making his return from injury.
The 26-year-old was injured on January 24 in the Champions League match against Girona. The former Barcelona man lasted only two minutes before suffering a high-grade lesion in his right calf, forcing him to miss two months, meaning he should return soon.
As MilanNews writes, Emerson is currently the only player unavailable due to injury in Sergio Conceiçao’s squad, but he is increasingly close to returning to the field.
The Brazilian’s recovery is proceeding well, as confirmed by the person concerned with the videos published in recent weeks on his social media channels.
Today, however, another step forward was taken. In fact, the former Spurs man has started running on the sand, the first step to then return to work on the pitch.
It already feels like his days at Milan are numbered again after the January links with a move to Galatasaray, because there is talk of a summer exit. Most of his performances were sub-par and even those that weren’t were only a passing grade, leading to the signing of Kyle Walker.
