On the Bubble: Portland Timbers, Nashville, New England Revolution, NYCFC

10. Seattle Sounders (no movement)

The Sounders continue to give the teams ahead of them plenty of trouble, and it's never a simple task to earn a point away to bitter rivals Portland Timbers at Providence Park.

Injuries continue to plague Brian Schmetzer's side, but they remain consistent performers in the Western Conference.

9. Inter Miami (👎)

It's a full blown crisis in Miami after Florida rivals Orlando City stormed into town and put three past the Herons in an emphatic victory.

Javier Mascherano's side have now won just one of their last five games in MLS, and have all but fallen out of the Supporters Shield race.

8. LAFC (👍)

While some may scoff at drawing with the winless LA Galaxy, a result on the road on derby day is never a bad result. The results remain inconsistent, but a midweek thrashing of Seattle was a reminder of how good LAFC can be on their day.

7. Orlando City (🆕)

Orlando City's thumping win in Miami was no anomaly. The Lions are now unbeaten since mid-March, and have won three of their last five to jump into the top-four hunt in the Eastern Conference.

6. San Diego FC (👍)

Somehow, someway, San Diego remain one of the most slept on teams in MLS. The expansion outfit are unbeaten in the month of May and sit four points adrift of top-spot in the Western Conference.

5. Minnesota United (👎)

The Loons looked poised to kick on after putting four past Inter Miami, but they fell to Houston just a few days later to quickly knock them off their perch.

Luckily for Minnesota United, they responded well with an emphatic win over St. Louis City over the weekend to jump back up into second in the west.

4. Columbus Crew (👎)

The Crew have cooled off ever so slightly since racing to the top of the Eastern Conference a few weeks go. Three consecutive draws have seen their pace slip, but Wilfried Nancy's side will remain in the conversation throughout the season.

3. FC Cincinnati (👎)

While Cincinnati have won six of their last eight, they slip ever so slightly in the standings this week but that is truly no fault of their own. Pat Noonan's side still look to be the strongest squad from top to bottom in the league, but one surprise side in the east is keeping them adrift of the top.

2. Philadelphia Union (👍)

The aforementioned surprise is, of course, Bradley Carnell's Philadelphia Union, who have seven of their last eight games and have secured top spot in the Eastern Conference for the time being.

Golden Boot leading Tai Baribo continues to find the back of the net with regularity, and those goals tend to be well-timed.

1. Vancouver Whitecaps (no movement)

The Whitecaps have slowed down just a tad since booking their historic ticket to the Concacaf Champions Cup, but they are certainly still the team to beat in the Western Conference.

Two straight draws certainly won't worry Jesper Sørensen, but they will need to rediscover their rhythm before taking on Cruz Azul in the final.
