After a two-week break, Lionel Messi marked his return to MLS last night. Coming on in the second half against LA Galaxy, the reigning World Champion immediately silenced any doubts about his injury by resuming his role as the conductor of Miami's play. The result: a 3-1 victory for Inter Miami.

In the 84th minute, Messi unleashed a powerful strike from outside the box, catching the entire California defense off guard to restore his team's lead. But the show wasn’t over yet: just minutes later, the former Barcelona ace delivered an inspired backheel assist, setting up Luis Suárez for the third goal in the 89th minute.
