Everton began the day on just one win from ten games in the WSL this season, but lately there have been one or two signs that they have been improving.
They face a Manchester City side who had conceded just six goals all season before kick off, more than the Toffees had managed to score (four).
Yet the loss of star defender Alex Greenwood in midweek Champions League action hurt Gareth Taylor's side, and their backline was punished in first half action by a well-organised Everton team.

Their calls for offside fell on deaf ears as Lucy Hope fired in that superb header.
Everton have never beaten this opponent in the WSL, and soon they were 2-0 up, with the City defence once again reeling.
