Marc Pubill has surged to the top of the Milan shortlist for the right-back role, considering the problems they have encountered in other chases. The Spanish youngster is valued at around €15M.
Per Calciomercato, the Rossoneri have quickly concurred on his personal terms with agent Fali Ramadani. If he joins, he’ll pocket €1.2M plus add-ons for the next five years. Instead, they are about €2M apart in the negotiation with Almeria. He has totaled 2 goals and 8 assists in 63 games with them, while he previously bloomed at Levante. He has 13 caps with Spain U-21 and the Olympic team combined.
Milan are tussling primarily with Wolverhampton for Pubill. However, Juventus have joined the fray as well since they might experience significant turnover in that position, La Gazzetta dello Sport relays (via Tuttomercatoweb).
The Bianconeri have received multiple offers from Sporting CP for Alberto Costa, which haven’t quite matched the request so far. They want €20M to turn a quick profit after spending €12M to acquire him from Vitoria Guimaraes in January. Still, the negotiation is ongoing. The fullback would accept the move if the two teams came to terms. Moreover, Olympique Marseille have been chasing after Timothy Weah for a few weeks. He’s keen on going there after rejecting Nottingham Forest.
It’s peculiar that the Rossoneri are more active on the right than on the left, but the somewhat modest disbursement wouldn’t hamstring. It doesn’t make a lot of sense for the Old Lady to sell two viable backups and then spend a similar figure for a replacement. They should shed one and onboard a stud.
