Milan’s technical director Geoffrey Moncada and Milan Futuro director Jovan Kirovski have enrolled for a sporting director course at the University of Salento, which will prepare them for their future FIGC licenses, reports detail.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Moncada, Kirovski and club secretary Manuel Caruso have enrolled on the Unisalento course.
The fact that the Rossoneri executives are studying on the sporting directorship course does not mean that they were previously unqualified. Their training was completed outside of Italy, and now they are preparing to obtain licenses that are organised and officially recognised by the FIGC.
The course, which is put on by the department of legal sciences at the University of Salento in Lecce, prepares candidates and helps them achieve the necessary requirements to take the FIGC directorship exam at Coverciano, which leads to a license from the Italian FA.
Moncada is from France and achieved his qualifications in his home land before going on to serve as chief scout at AS Monaco.
Kirovski was qualified in the United States, where he served as technical director for LA Galaxy. His most recognisable signing was that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is currently advisor to RedBird Capital Partners, who own Milan.
