Milan, Atalanta & Napoli Involved in Midfield Triangle

Imagem do artigo:Milan, Atalanta & Napoli Involved in Midfield Triangle

Milan, Atalanta, and Napoli are all searching for a new midfielder, and their moves could intertwine, although the domino hasn’t been triggered yet. The starting piece appears to be La Dea acquiring Yunus Musah from the Rossoneri.

According to Sky, the Bergamaschi are very keen but haven’t come to terms with the counterparty at this stage. The San Siro-based club has asked for roughly €30M throughout the summer, while the Orobici offer less. The Partenopei chased him for a while before giving up. Furthermore, Massimiliano Allegri wouldn’t mind keeping him in the squad.

If Atalanta found a way to lure Musah, they’d sign off on sending Brescianini to Napoli, while Milan would try to plug the hole with Giovanni Fabbian from Bologna. It wouldn’t be an easy negotiation, as the Felsinei value him €15M and wish to find a replacement first.

La Dea and the Azzurri dueled for the ex-Frosinone star last year, with the former emerging victorious. Despite not being a regular starter, he has accumulated 38 appearances last season, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists. Instead, the Inter youth product has hit the net 9 times in 71 matches since moving to Emilia.

Our Take on Atalanta, Milan, and Napoli

The reigning Serie A champions could certainly use another midfielder, especially if the plan is to field their top four ones together as much as possible. Brescianini isn’t tremendous but would come in handy with his versatility. A change of scenery would be interesting for Musah, who has some untapped potential, but he needs to find his true role. Fabbian would be the most offensive-minded contributor at the position for Milan, but they have already done a lot there.
