All that was missing was the official announcement, and now it’s confirmed. Wilfried Ndidi is the latest signing for Beşiktaş.

The Turkish club has officially announced the signing of the Nigerian international (65 caps) on a three-year deal through a statement published on its official website.

“An agreement has been reached with the club regarding the transfer of professional footballer Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi. A three-year contract, with an additional one-year option, has been signed with Ndidi. A total transfer fee of €8,000,000 will be paid to Leicester City,” the statement read.

The Super Eagle spent eight seasons with the Foxes, racking up 303 appearances, 18 goals and 22 assists. He lifted the FA Cup in 2021 and the Community Shield that same year.

Beşiktaş will be just the fourth club in the career of the 28-year-old defensive midfielder. Before joining Leicester in 2017, he played for Nath Boys in Nigeria and KRC Genk in Belgium.
