The Japanese forward delivered an outstanding month, netting six league goals and providing two assists across five Premiership matches, pushing Celtic closer to another title triumph.

“The team is doing well and because of that I can score the goals,” Daizen

Maeda also scored a hat-trick in the Scottish Cup against Raith Rovers and stood out as one of Celtic’s key performers in a thrilling Champions League knockout playoff clash versus Bayern Munich.

After being named February’s SPFL award winner, the 27 year-old shared his thoughts with Celtic TV courtesy of an interpreter. Maeda said: “The team is doing well and because of that I can score the goals. So yeah, I’m really pleased for the team performance.”

“I just keep continuing doing what I’m used to doing. I always try to work hard and try to do my best towards each game, so yeah, all the games were very important for me.”

“We still have a chance to win the treble and that’s our aim as a team, so yeah, we will try to work hard as a team towards that.”

Multiple POTY awards set to follow for Maeda

The Celtic fans-favourite is on track to claim several accolades by the end of May, emerging as the leading contender for multiple end-of-season awards.

With Maeda likely to pass the 30 goals-mark, he is on course for the best season of his professional career – showing no signs of easing up anytime soon.
