The absent pair were supporting their team-mates
Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice sent messages to their Arsenal team-mates after missing Sunday's north London derby victory over Tottenham.
Gabriel Magalhaes' second-half header was enough to secure a third consecutive away win over their rivals. Spurs started stronger and arguably created more, but the Gunners - without key players Odegaard and Rice - got the job done for the third season in a row.
Odegaard missed the game with an injury picked up while with Norway during the international break, and is expected to also miss next week's trip to Manchester City. Rice was serving a one-match ban after being sent off against Brighton last time out.
But both watched on as Arsenal secured more north London bragging rights. Odegaard posted three love hearts over an image of Gabriel celebrating, after Rice had posted: "I love this team!!!!!!" on his page.

Rice is available again for the trip to Atalanta in the Champions League on Thursday, but Odegaard is facing a spell on the sidelines. Mikel Arteta will also be hoping Bukayo Saka does not join his captain on the treatment table after the winger limped out of the game.
