According to a report from L’Équipe, Olympique de Marseille are interested in bringing Timothy Weah (25) back to Ligue 1. The US international who made his professional debut in France with Paris Saint-Germain joined Juventus in 2023 from Lille OSC.
The winger who can also play as a wing-back has made 78 appearances for the Serie A side but could be on the move this summer, with Marseille in the market for offensive reinforcements following the departure of Luis Henrique to Internazionale Milan.
L’Équipe writes that the transfer could cost the Ligue 1 side around €15m, with Weah under contract in Italy for the next three years. However, negotiations over the type of transfer still need to take place (in other words, will it be a transfer, a loan with an option to buy, or a loan with an obligation to buy).
Marseille are not the only team looking at the former Lille and PSG man, and they will face stiff competition from the Premier League, with Leeds United interested.
