These most recent results having a major impact on how the Premier League top six chase now looks…

Saturday 27 April – Manchester United 1 Burnley 1

Saturday 27 AprilNewcastle United 5 Sheff Utd 1

Saturday 27 April – Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 2

Recent results have now confirmed that the likes of Fulham, Wolves, Brighton, Bournemouth and West Ham are all ruled out for sure when it comes to Premier League top six.

Whilst as you can see, Manchester United now dropping to eighth behind Newcastle United and Chelsea in the table, though Erik ten Hag’s side have a game in hand.

Listed below are the now updated general Premier League odds available from the various bookies to finish top six this 2023/24 season:

1/20 Tottenham

8/11 Newcastle United

3/1 Chelsea

7/2 Manchester United

So Newcastle United now very much favourites in the eyes of bookies and punters, with Chelsea and then now Manchester United third favourites behind the other two.

(Tottenham dropping like a stone and losing their last four PL matches has even seen them now having a very faint chance of dropping out of even the top six, never mind top four!)

See below the nine Premier League matches that will decide things for the three clubs…

These are all the remaining fixtures for the three clubs fighting for Premier League top six:

Monday 6 May – Crystal Palace v Man U

Saturday 11 May – Newcastle v Brighton, Forest v Chelsea

Sunday 12 May – Man U v Arsenal

Wednesday 15 May – Man U v Newcastle, Brighton v Chelsea

Sunday 19 May – Brentford v Newcastle, Brighton v Man U, Chelsea v Bournemouth

It is a simple equation, if Newcastle United win their last three matches, then they are guaranteed sixth place.

Whilst a draw for Newcastle at Old Trafford and winning the other two matches would almost certainly also ensure top six, due to their goal difference superiority over Chelsea, as well as very unlikely Man U could beat Arsenal at home and both Palace and Brighton away.
