Ruben Amorim welcomed back three senior players at the weekend
Manchester United’s injury woes subsided significantly and played a huge role in the 2-2 draw with Everton.
After missing the 1-0 loss to Tottenham the previous weekend, Leny Yoro, Christian Eriksen and Manuel Ugarte all returned to the matchday squad at Goodison Park, with the latter scoring to complete a second half comeback.
Ruben Amorim will be hopeful of welcoming back some more players in the coming weeks with climbing up the Premier League table and success in the FA Cup and Europa League now the target for the remainder of the season.
With that said, here’s all the latest on the Manchester United injuries…
Amad Diallo has suffered his season-ending injury, with ankle ligament damage suffered in training this week in a significant blow to manager Ruben Amorim.
“Amad was alone [when he got injured],” the manager said after the Spurs game. “He was doing a tackle. The feet were stuck in the grass.”
Potential return date: August 2025
Manchester United had hoped Mainoo would be able to return in a matter of weeks, rather than months.
The midfielder picked up the knock during training that has caused him to miss the last two games. The initial prognosis was for a two-to-three-week absence, but Amorim is unsure about a return timeline.
“Kobbie recovery, I don’t know,” he said prior to the Everton game. “We have to adapt to the schedule.".

Lisandro Martinez suffered a serious knee injury in the defeat at home to Crystal Palace earlier this month.
United have confirmed Martinez damaged his cruciate ligament and, according to reports he is expected to be ruled out for six months to a year after undergoing surgery successfully.
Potential return date: Late 2025
Luke Shaw’s injury problems have continued this season.
After recently returning to training, Amorim confirmed Shaw had suffered a small setback in his recovery when speaking before the Leicester game.
“Luke has one small issue in the different area from the last injury, so we try to be careful with Luke,” he said.
Potential return date: Unknown
The young midfielder is enjoying a more prominent role under Ruben Amorim, but his progress has been halted but an injury picked up in training.
Still, of all the injured players, it appears he will be back first.
"Toby [Collyer] seems to be the closest but not known,” Amorim told reporters.
Potential return date: Unknown
Back-up goalkeeper Altay Bayindir was earlier this month ruled out with an unspecified “problem”, and according to Amorim, he is “making a recovery”.
Potential return date: Unknown
Like Shaw, Mason Mount has struggled with fitness during his time at Old Trafford.
Mount came off injured against Man City back in December and his return date is unclear.

Jonny Evans has also been missing of late with a calf injury and there has been no official update on his fitness in a while.
