Manchester United have Croatian starlet Martin Baturina “very high” on wish list | OneFootball

Manchester United are reportedly very interested in young Croatian talent Martin Baturina.

The 21 year old Dinamo Zagreb midfielder is one of the most discussed talents in Croatia due to his fine form in recent months.

He has already helped guide his side to the Champions League and he has been previously linked to European giants such as Juventus and Arsenal.

Croatian publication Germanijak claims that Baturina is “one of the jewels” of Croatian football who is expected to become the national team’s new midfield star for the next decade.

Interestingly for United fans the paper also reports that “according to insiders, Baturina is very high on the wish list of the English giant Manchester United.”

The English club’s “scouts have been following Martin for a long time, like, after all, the scouts of all prominent clubs, and now they plan to watch him a little more closely.”

United have already scouted the young talent against Portugal and “will have their men in Osijek for the match with Poland, and then for the Derby with Hajduk in Maksimir.”

It is also stated that he will soon be rewarded with a new deal at Dynamo to reflect his new found importance for the team.

The 21 year old is so highly thought of that he has been labelled the “new Luka Modric”.

Baturina “is an exhilarating prospect who’s bound to leave Croatia to eventually join one of the European powerhouses, should his development continue following the current trajectory.”

He has already shown off his creative flair this season by producing five assists in only six games in this campaign.

A potential pursuit of the youngster would certainly fit the mould of the type of player that Ineos are aiming to recruit at Old Trafford.

The summer arrivals of Joshua Zirkzee, Manuel Ugarte and Leny Yoro highlight that United are keen to snap up young and upcoming players on the European stage and Baturina would certainly be an intriguing prospect to add to the club’s ever-growing list of exciting young talents.
