FC Barcelona spent much of the early parts of the summer focusing on Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams as their left-wing option, but the player eventually ended up putting pen to paper on a 10-year deal with the Basque club.
One other player the Catalan club was interested in was Liverpool star Luis Diaz, although the Colombian seems to be out of their price range. The other transfer target that the Blaugranes have, for the same position, is Marcus Rashford.
Rashford has been exiled by Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, with the Englishman shipped out on loan for the second half of last season. He looks set to be stripped of the number 10 jersey at Old Trafford, with Matheus Cunha set to inherit the number.

Now, as highlighted by FCB World via X, Marcus Rashford has sparked a buzz surrounding a potential move to Barcelona by not just following the Catalan club on Instagram but also the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Pedri.

It is no surprise to see a transfer target use social media to further highlight his interest in a potential move, which has increasingly become the norm in recent times. Fans are often very quick to spot the same and jump on the bandwagon.
With Barcelona moving on Ansu Fati to AS Monaco this summer, the club needs a left-winger for depth. It is also worth noting that Robert Lewandowski is getting older, and having Rashford and Ferran Torres could provide depth across the front line.

Rashford is also looking for a move that could resurrect his faltering career. The Englishman has a massive point to prove in a World Cup year, even as he finds himself outside the England scheme of things, and what better place than Barcelona to do it?
Ultimately, it could all come down to the finances of the deal, and this is where Barcelona might have the upper hand, considering how desperate Man Utd are to get him off their books. A loan move could be on the cards, and the next few weeks could give us a clearer picture on the same.
