Ruben Dias has been spotted filming a brand new advert in the Portuguese national team kit, in the back garden of someone’s house in Middleton.

The mainstay Manchester City centre-back has once again been at the centre of everything excellent in defence this season, as the club continue their pursuit of an unprecedented fourth successive top-flight crown.

With competition from Arsenal and Liverpool, and a challenging run-in on the horizon for Manchester City, Dias and his teammates will certainly have their work cut out, as they accompany that trophy hunt with an FA Cup final to close out the season too.

Whilst the focus remains very much on the field, Manchester City’s stars also have their responsibilities away from it, and for Ruben Dias that has taken him to a more unlikely destination for a recent photoshoot.

According to a remarkable photo shared on social media platform X by user MCFCHeisenberg, Ruben Dias was spotted in the back garden of a house in Middleton filming a brand new advert for Sports Direct.

Given Dias was sporting Portugal’s colours, it appears as though the shoot is part of the brand’s forward planning for the upcoming 2024 European Championships in Germany, of which Portugal are one of the favourites.

Alongside superstar names including Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Rafael Leao, Ruben Dias will also be joined by his Manchester City teammates at the competition this summer, with Bernardo Silva and Matheus Nunes also likely to make the cut.

For now however, Dias will remain focussed on the Premier League and Emirates FA Cup tasks at hand, as Manchester City face an away-day double-header this week with trips to Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest in the top-flight.
