Manchester City have turned down a €30m bid from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest to sign right-back Rico Lewis (20), according to Foot Mercato. The outlet understands that the Tricky Trees submitted a fixed €25m transfer fee with a further €5m in performance-related add-ons. Lewis is tied with Manchester City over a contract set to expire in 2028.

The outlet adds that Manchester City are in the process of trimming Pep Guardiola’s squad down. The Skyblues have notably allowed their club record €118m signing Jack Greaslish to sign for Everton on loan with an option to buy. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in City winger Savinho as the Spurs seek to replace Heung-min Son.

Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in attacking midfielder James McAtee as well as in Lewis. Nottingham Forest are expected to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo’s options as their participation in the Europa League has been confirmed following CAS’ ruling on Crystal Palace’s demotion to the Conference League.
