Premier League champions Manchester City have made their move towards the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt sensation Omar Marmoush (25), according to a report this Friday from Foot Mercato. The Egypt international has taken Bundesliga by storm with 13 goals and eight assists so far this season. Marmoush logged 18 goals and 12 assists in all competitions this season with Frankfurt sitting third in the Bundesliga standings. However, Marmoush is intent on making a move to the Premier League and several major English sides such as Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City have reportedly expressed an interest.
Out of these Premier League sides, Pep Guardiola’s Citizens have made a first concrete move. Foot Mercato reports that Manchester City have sent Marmoush a contract proposal with a view to signing him next summer. The 25-year-old Egypt international has already exchanged with members of Manchester City’s board and is reportedly enthused at the prospect of joining the Etihad Stadium. Marmoush is tied with Eintracht Frankfurt over a five-year contract set to expire in 2027.
