It's been a torrid season for Manchester United, with the club sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League and all their hopes left on winning the Europa League.

Ruben Amorim's arrival at Old Trafford was met with much fanfare, but it feels like little has changed in the four months since his first game in charge.

However, perception is a funny thing and when you break down his 28 games in charge, there has actually been a marked improvement in 2025, albeit coming from an incredibly low 2024 base.

His first 11 games saw four wins, six losses and a single draw, culminating in the nadir of a 2-0 home loss to Newcastle on 30 December. That's a win ratio of just 36% and a loss ratio of a staggering 55%.

Of 17 games since in 2025, United have won nine, drawn four and lost four, with a win ratio of 53% and a loss ratio being halved to 24%.

The losses have been bad ones, the wins have not come with great performances in most part, and the bottom half position and general negativity around the club are obvious factors too.

But signs are there, both in the stats and recent performances, that Amorim is slowly but surely putting his stamp on things.
