Manchester United ended their season on a high with a huge victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo netted in the first half to steer United to a famous 2-1 victory, sealing a spot in the Europa League for the Red Devils after a disappointing campaign threatened to end in disaster.

The 19-year-old flashed his typical composure to fire United into a two-goal lead in the first half, but that wasn't even the most impressive thing about Mainoo's performance. He went toe-to-toe with some of the biggest names on the planet and comfortably came out on top.

Raphael Varane - 9/10

Varane bows out with arguably the best performance of his entire United career.

Imperious at the back, the Frenchman flung himself at absolutely everything that came his way, repelling City's attempts to get Erling Haaland into the game. This was the Real Madrid version of Varane.

Alejandro Garnacho - 8/10

There was more than a slice of good fortunate about Garnacho's opening goal - Josko Gvardiol and Stefan Ortega did him a real favour - but the young winger absolutely deserved all the luck that came his way.

A relentless force down the right wing, Garnacho danced around City's back line time and time again and was even involved in the build-up for Mainoo's second.

Lisandro Martinez - 8/10

If anybody needed a reminder of just how good Lisandro Martinez can be, they can just watch this game for all the evidence in the world.

Haaland didn't get a sniff against Martinez and Varane. This was just a sensational defensive showing.
