PSG are facing some uncertainty in goal, with Lucas Chevalier emerging as a potential long-term option. Gianluigi Donnarumma remains under contract through 2026, but extension talks have stalled and there’s no indication a new deal is close.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are assessing their goalkeeper options, with Donnarumma reportedly among the names under consideration.

According to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, Donnarumma is still at PSG for now, though his agents are exploring possible moves. Manchester United, Manchester City, Galatasaray, and several Saudi clubs have all shown interest.

For the moment, Donnarumma isn’t pushing to leave PSG unless the right opportunity comes along. Internally, he’s expected to compete with Chevalier for the starting role, with Luis Enrique set to make the final call, Hawkins adds.

Would Man Utd afford to pay PSG star high wages?

While speaking to Football Insider, Stefan Borson stated that Donnarumma would want more than £400,000-a-week wages to join Manchester United.

“I would be absolutely amazed at that deal because remember, Donnarumma signed for PSG on a free transfer,” Borson told the English media outlet. “The chances are he’s on £500,000 a week. Definitely €500,000 (£435,000). If you look at the way PSG pay and you look at their total wage bill, there’s no possibility that they signed him on a free transfer for anything less than €500,000 a week.

“He’s going to want the same again. I just can’t see it. I think he’d be a very good signing for them if he were prepared to go. I think he would be a very sizable upgrade on Onana. But as I say, I just don’t see it.”
