Under sporting advisor Luis Campos, Paris Saint-Germain has strengthened its connection to Portugal, bringing in promising young talents like Vitinha, João Neves, and Gonçalo Ramos. Now, it appears the club has its sights set on another rising star.
According to Foot Mercato, PSG, Manchester City, and Manchester United are all tracking Sporting Lisbon’s 17-year-old prospect, Geovany Quenda. Manchester United’s interest is particularly notable, given that their manager, Rúben Amorim, recently joined from Sporting.
Meanwhile, CaughtOffside reports that Newcastle United is also in the mix. While no formal steps have been taken, the report highlights Newcastle’s growing intent to pursue Quenda as part of their strategy to bolster their group with top young talent.

A Bola (h/t TEAMtalk) reports that Manchester United are reportedly ‘preparing an offer’ of £50 million plus bonuses to land Quenda for below his Sporting release clause.
The teenager reportedly has a release clause of £84 million, so it will be interesting to see if the Portuguese side accepts this potential proposal.
Quenda has made 19 total appearances across all competitions for Sporting this season, scoring two goals and recording two assists. The teenager is also under contract with the Portuguese side until 2027, so Sporting aren’t obliged to sell him now.
