Manchester United are reportedly very close to snatching the services of young French teenager Enzo Kana-Biyik.
The 18-year-old is a striker who is developing his game with the youth ranks of Le Havre. He is the son of André Kana-Biyik, a former Cameroonian international star.
The teenager has thus far made 15 appearances for the club’s U19 side this season, contributing with nine goals and an assist. He was also included in the first team squad on a couple of occasions, but remained on the bench.
Despite his lack of experience at the senior level, the Man Utd scouts were impressed with what they saw when monitoring the youngster. As reported earlier this week, the Premier League giants have made contact with the player and his entourage.
But while Le Havre were still hoping to convince him to sign a new deal, L’Equipe (via Le Parisien) reveals that Kana-biyik has now made up his mind, and is all set to leave the club in the summer, choosing Carrington as his next destination.

The source reveals that the centre-forward has already given United the green light, and the two parties are currently immersed in ‘advanced negotiations’.
With the player’s contract expiring at the end of the season, the Red Devils will be able to sign him on a free transfer and add him to their already-impressive host of promising young guns, including the likes of Chido Obi-Martin, Harry Amass and Ayden Heaven who are already making waves with the first team.
Signing a young Frenchman from Le Havre has evoked memories of a certain Paul Pogba, who left the same club back in 2007.
The Frenchman is widely considered amongst the best midfielders in his generation, but his first stint at United ended rather prematurely, while his second (between 2016 and 2022) was rather underwhelming.
