Manchester United are said to be interested in Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, with L’Équipe revealing the French player is frustrated by his limited playing time at the club.

As a result, Paris Saint-Germain could also be monitoring the situation and potentially considering a move for Nkunku, who left the capital club in search of a more prominent role.

However, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, Nkunku doesn’t intend to leave this winter. But if his situation at Chelsea remains the same by summer, he may begin looking at other options.

The Telegraph Football also reported that Chelsea would consider selling Nkunku in January, but only if they can recover the £52 million they paid for him.

On the London is Blue podcast, Ben Jacobs shared an update on Nkunku. He mentioned that Nkunku will likely get more minutes as the season goes on and added that Manchester United haven’t actually inquired about the Chelsea player.

“It reminds me of Levi Colwill in the summer, we knew the player wanted guarantees, and when these reports come out in the media, it allows the player to send a message to the club without banging on the door,” Jacobs said (h/t TBR Football).

“Nkunku you would expect to start games in the festive period or the second half of the season. I’m not aware that he’s asked to leave or he’s been put on the market, and it’s certainly not true to my understanding that Manchester United have made any kind of enquiry, contrary to some reports out there.”
