Manchester United are currently not in ongoing talks with defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka over a contract renewal to extend his stay at the club.

Wan-Bissaka is believed to be one of the players Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are open to selling in case enticing offers for him are made.

United forked out £45m plus £5m in add-ons to sign Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2019. During his time at Old Trafford, the Englishman has been solid if not unspectacular.

Undoubtedly very strong defensively especially in one-versus-one situations, Wan-Bissaka has often found himself at the end of criticism for his perceived weaknesses going forward.

The 26-year-old is now in the final year of his terms with the Red Devils and there is plenty of interest in his signature.

Palace want him back while other Premier League clubs such as West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been mentioned as admirers of his.

A recent report covered by The Peoples Person even claimed that La Liga giants Barcelona are keen on adding Wan-Bissaka to their ranks at Camp Nou. He is valued at €20m.

The strongest interest in the full-back seems to be coming from Galatasaray, who are thought to have even tabled an offer for the player.

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth gave an update on Wan-Bissaka’s situation at United and what the future could hold for him.

In particular, Sheth gave more insight on West Ham’s efforts to land Wan-Bissaka.

“Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka one of a number of right-backs West Ham United interested in.”

“United not actively looking to sell but doing due diligence in that position given AWB into final year of contract.”

Sheth added, “No talks currently over extending deal.”

In the 2023/24 season, Wan-Bissaka made 22 Premier League appearances and 30 across all competitions.
