Manchester United have spoken to Ferdi Kadioglu’s representatives to understand what they will demand if the Red Devils strike a deal with his club Fernabahce, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.

The versatile Turkish international impressed in the Super Lig last term, notching one goal and four assists (ten big chances created) in 37 appearances.

Kadioglu helped Fenerbahce keep 15 clean sheets, winning 60% of his duels as they finished second on the league table despite accruing 99 points.

The 24-year-old carried his outstanding performances to the 2024 European Championship, where he was one of the standout full-backs. He won 63% of his duels while averaging 2.4 key passes per game.

Kadioglu impressed offensively and defensively, putting himself on the radar of several European clubs, and Man United appear interested in securing his services.

Kadioglu played last season as a left-back. He can provide cover for the often-injured Luke Shaw. The Englishman missed around 26 Premier League games last term.

United’s back-up left-back Tyrell Malacia also spent a significant portion of the season on the sidelines, forcing the Reds back into the market for full-back reinforcement.

Signing Kadioglu will appeal to manager Erik ten Hag as he can also play on the right side because he is right-footed.

United are planning to cash in on Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer and have their eyes on a new right-full-back. They were in talks for Noussair Mazraoui, but Bayern Munich’s asking price is putting United off.

Kadioglu could be a wise move for United, plugging holes in both full-back areas as the Premier League giants look to bounce back from an abysmal eight-place league finish last term.

Man United have already completed deals for Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee this summer but there are still several holes to plug in the squad.

United need full-backs, a productive winger, and a defensive midfielder to challenge for a Champions League spot next term.
