“The Norway international’s contract is about to expire and United hope to complete a deal before the next international break in mid-July.”

“United are believed to have several targets lined up, with a number of high-profile players set to leave the club.”

If Marc Skinner’s side successfully manage to lure the lethal Terland to Old Trafford, it would represent a huge coup for the club.

Terland scored 13 of Brighton’s 26 goals in the Women’s Super League last season. Only Golden Boot winner Khadija Shaw found the back of the net on more occasions than the Brighton attacker.

She was instrumental as the Seagulls avoided relegation following their mid-campaign struggles.

Terland joined Brighton from SK Brann in 2022 and represented her country, Norway, at the Women’s World Cup last summer.

Losing the 22-year-old would come as a huge blow to Brighton, who also lost England international Katie Robinson at the end of her deal.

Amidst all this, Brighton are still yet to confirm the appointment of a manager after they parted ways with Melissa Phillips in February.

Terlands’s imminent arrival at United comes amidst a recent admission made by Sir Jim Ratcliffe that INEOS currently don’t have a plan in place for the women’s team.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Ratcliffe was pressed about his vision for Marc Skinner and his players. The billionaire explained that all his focus has been on the Erik ten Hag’s set-up and as such, he had very little to say about the women’s team.
