The champions are counting their wounded
Kyle Walker missed the draw with Everton with the flu and remains a doubt for the King Power Stadium clash, while Ederson, Matheus Nunes and Jack Grealish will all be assessed ahead of the game.
Injured quartet Rodri, Oscar Bobb, Ruben Dias and John Stones all remain sidelined, but Nathan Ake is fit and should start alongside Manuel Akanji in defence.
Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan came off the bench, and failed to conjure a winner, against the Toffees and should be back in the starting line-up on Sunday.
Phil Foden was unable to follow up on his goal against Aston Villa with another against Everton, but was City’s busiest player so should keep his place. Erling Haaland saw his penalty saved by Jordan Pickford but is in no danger of being dropped.
Manchester City predicted XI: Ortega; Lewis, Akanji, Ake, Gvardiol; Kovacic, Gundogan; Silva, De Bruyne, Foden; Haaland
Injured: Rodri, Bobb, Dias, Stones
Venue: King Power Stadium
TV channel and live stream: Sky Sports
