Man City have completed the signing of Vitor Reis while Omar Marmoush undergoes his medical of his transfer this week.
The Brazilian defender has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Premier League champions after leaving Palmeiras for £29 million (€35m).
Reis only made his debut last June, but quickly became an important member of a team that went on to finish second in Série A, making 18 appearances last season.
“I’m excited to join Manchester City, one of the biggest clubs in the world,” the 19-year-old said at his transfer announcement.
“Everyone has seen the amazing achievements in recent seasons, and I want to make my mark as we seek more trophies.
“Working with Pep Guardiola is something every young player wants to do, and I know he can help me to develop into the best player I can be.”
Man City director of football Txiki Begiristain called Reis “one of the most promising young defenders in the world”. He added: We’re delighted to been able to bring him here.”
Meanwhile, Man City are also set to complete the signing of Omar Marmoush after Fabrizio Romano reported that the player is undergoing medical tests at the club.
The Egyptian striker, who is expected to leave Eintracht Frankfurt for a transfer fee of around £67.6m (€80m), came to prominence this season after registering 15 goals and nine assists in 17 Bundesliga appearances.
Romano also claims that “at least one more signing is anticipated” at Man City, which would make it four new arrivals in January after defender Abdukodir Khusanov joined the club from Lens for £33.7m (€40m).
