It’s now two months to the day since Nizaar Kinsella put up his list of 10 players Chelsea want to sell for the BBC.
The reported reeled off a healthy list of just the seniors the club want to move on:
“Raheem Sterling, Axel Disasi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Djordje Petrovic, Armando Broja, Joao Felix, Renato Veiga, Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and Lesley Ugochukwu.”
So 60 days later, how is the progress?

Well it’s been slow but steady, and the last couple of weeks in particular have seen some important deals competed. As it stands, Kepa, Petrovic, Broja, Felix and Ugochukwu have gone.
That’s 5 of the original 10. From the rest, Chukwuemeka and Veiga both have serious interest and could go in the next week or so.
Then there’s Sterling, Disasi and Chilwell. They are the ones proving hardest to shift. In the case of Sterling and Chilwell it’s their wages which are the real problem. We’re sure Chelsea would happily just take a loan fee and their wages fee rather than a transfer at this point.
We expected Disasi to have more interest – he’s certainly a solid Premier League defender. Perhaps Chelsea are just asking too much money for him? After overpaying for him initially, we’re now trying to get our money back, which just may not be possible.
This group of ten aren’t the only players Chelsea would or could sell. Noni Madueke wasn’t on the list and ended up going. We can also add Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson as players Chelsea would like to move on if possible. Tyrique George will also go – on loan or even permanently according to today’s Deal Sheet from the Athletic – if the offer is right.
