Luis Díaz looks set to become a Bayern Munich player, with the German champions agreeing a deal worth around £65.5m (€75m) including add-ons to bring the Colombian winger in from Liverpool.
He’s expected to leave Liverpool’s pre-season base in Tokyo after being given the green light to travel for a medical ahead of the move.
The Reds had initially turned down Bayern’s first offer, believed to be around £58.5m (€67m), but the German side came back with an improved bid which has now been accepted.
Díaz sat out the Reds’ recent friendly defeat to AC Milan amid growing talk of a transfer, and has since been allowed to step away from the tour in Asia.
Last season was his most productive in a Liverpool shirt, scoring 17 goals in all competitions and playing a major role in helping Arne Slot’s side lift the Premier League title.
The 28-year-old originally joined the Reds from Porto in January 2022 and was under contract at Anfield until 2027.
