Luis Diaz could leave Liverpool this summer. If that happens, it should trigger an ambitious offer to replace him.

Luis Diaz may well be on his way out of Liverpool. There are increasing reports that he's to ask for a transfer away from Anfield, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich hoping to snap him up.

Anfield Watch understands that both clubs have made verbal offers for Diaz. Both, however, were far below what Liverpool would want to accept.

This one, then, has a ways to run. Diaz may want to leave Liverpool but it's only going to happen if the right offer arrives.

Though, it might. There's still plenty of time left in the transfer window and Liverpool may yet be tempted to part ways with the Colombian for the right amount.

And if that happens, we think it should trigger another ambitious bid.

Rodrygo is the one

Rodrygo Goes is almost certainly available to buy this summer. Reports in Spain suggest Real Madrid want to sell him, though it would be for a large amount.

We think he's worth it. Rodrygo is a brilliant talent with bags of experience at the very top level and is still only 24. He's also a player Liverpool have tracked for a long, long time - they actually got there first and agreed a deal with Santos, only for the Brazilian club to change their mind and wait another year before selling.

That year saw Rodrygo's reputation explode and a big-money move to Real Madrid followed. Years later, Liverpool may finally get their man.

And we also think Rodrygo is the ideal addition on the wing. For one, he can play on both flanks, able to cover both a departing Diaz and Mo Salah.
