Here’s our predicted starting lineup for Liverpool as they host Tottenham Hotspur this weekend in the Premier League.

Do Liverpool have anything to play for? Technically, yes, but it would take a bizarre run of results for them to get back into the title race.

Instead, the focus of their meeting with Tottenham Hotspur this weekend is likely just the penultimate home game under Jurgen Klopp. It's still weird to think that's where we are.

Really, the best we're all hoping for is for Liverpool to go out on a bang - and to not find a weird way of avoiding Champions League football next season. They can secure it against Spurs at Anfield, and they've got the luxury of a week's rest for once.

On top of that, Klopp has pretty much his entire squad to choose from, with just a few expected absences. With that in mind, here's our predicted XI for Liverpool vs Spurs.

Defence

Alisson Becker will certainly start in goal, so no confusion there. Trent Alexander-Arnold is naturally there at right-back, too. Conor Bradley is back in training but won't be ready for this one.

Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson are two more certainties. In fact, the only real question here is who starts alongside Van Dijk?

Ibrahima Konaté is the favourite but he was dragged off against West Ham United after a terrible showing. Was it a sign that Jarell Quansah is getting a look-in?

We still imagine Konaté starts but it's far from a sure thing.

Midfield

Wataru Endo has struggled for form, and so it feels inevitable that Alexis Mac Allister starts in the deeper midfield role here. It's a question, of course, as Spurs boast good attacking players but we think Klopp will be more comfortable with the Argentine.

Ryan Gravenberch Liverpool

In front of him, it's tough to predict. The favourites are Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones - they're who we're ultimately going with.

But Ryan Gravenberch has a fantastic case to start. He was great against West Ham - the bright light in an otherwise drab performance.

We're not sure he'll start back-to-back games but wouldn't be surprised at all.

Attack

The big question here is: does Mohamed Salah start? His spat with Jurgen Klopp on the sidelines in London dominated discussion in the wake of the game.

It would be even bigger news if he were to start on the bench again. We imagine the pair have moved past it all and he'll get the nod against Tottenham, though.

As for his forward partners, we're guessing Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz. Both have been in far better form than Darwin Nunez, even if their performances haven't delivered goals.

But then, no one's scoring goals, so maybe Jayden Danns should start.
