Reds dealt injury blow to key midfielder ahead of visit of Tractor Boys
Liverpool have been dealt an injury concern ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Ipswich.
The Reds are hosting the Tractor Boys at Anfield and will be strong favourites to at least maintain their lead atop the Premier League table.
Arne Slot’s side beat Lille 2-1 in the Champions League earlier this week to progress into the knockout rounds in relatively serene fashion.
Still, Curtis Jones was forced off with injury against the French outfit and will be ruled out of Saturday’s game too.
"He went out during half-time so it's mostly not a good sign and it wasn't because he won't be available tomorrow,” confirmed Slot on Friday.
"We'll have to wait and see how long it takes but I'm not expecting months. Let's see if he's available for PSV or Bournemouth."
Diogo Jota picked up a knock during the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest last week and will also sit the game out, along with Joe Gomez. Ibrahima Konate is a slight doubt to start after a knock to his knee.
The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo were all rested against Lille and could return for the Ipswich game.
