Reds defender is poised for an Anfield send-off this weekend
Arne Slot must, again, decide whether to start Trent Alexander-Arnold as Liverpool finish the season at home to Crystal Palace.
The Reds, who sealed the Premier League title with a 5-1 win over Tottenham last month, take on the FA Cup winners in what is now a dress rehersal for August's Community Shield season-curtain raiser.
Liverpool have suffered a slight dip since being crowned champions of England. Slipping to a 3-1 defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before surrendering a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Arsenal and then losing away at Brighton on Monday night despite leading twice.
Alexander-Arnold made the trip to the Amex Stadium but did not make an appearance off the bench and a clip of the defender looking very emotional at full-time has gone viral.
Having already announced he will be leaving Liverpool when his contract expires, it means Sunday's game will be his Anfield send-off.
However, he did receive a mixed response on his last Anfield appearance against Arsenal and Slot joked that he may leave Alexander-Arnold out once again as an early present to Xabi Alonso and Real Madrid.
In terms of team news, Alexis Mac Allister will not feature but Joe Gomez is in line to make his first appearance since limping off in the shock FA Cup fourth round loss to Plymouth back in February.

Gomez was an unused substitute against Brighton, but Slot is hopeful the versatile defender can get some minutes on Sunday.
"Last weekend he was there with the team but was not able to play yet," Slot said at the pre-match press conference.
"He didn't tick all the boxes yet, but I think there was a spot open, so it was for me a moment where I could show my gratitude towards him to show what he's done on the pitch for us, but also off the pitch for us.
“I am hoping he can make some minutes [on Sunday] if he ticks all the boxes this week."
Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Jones; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Diaz
