Liverpool are through to the next round of the Carabao Cup after defeating Brighton 3-2 at the AMEX.

Commanded his box well and stayed alert when Brighton posed a threat. Made some exceptional saves to deny the Seagulls a goal. Played some incredible passes out from the back. Possibly could've done better to prevent Brighton's first goal.
Solid performance in his first game back from injury. Pushed forward to support Liverpool’s attacking play. Did well defensively, tidying up at the back when needed.
Remained composed throughout, making crucial blocks when required. Been reliable in possession but was exploited at times.
Quansah had a mixed bag of a game. Did well in the first half but was exposed a few times in the second 45 and lapsed concentration for both Brighton's goals.
Vastly improved after a difficult couple of games. Covered the left-hand side well offering some pinpoint passes into the box. Tracked back well when needed making some crucial blocks.
Disciplined performance from Endo. Kept things tight in midfield and kept possession ticking over, although he did make the odd rash decision.
Looked tidy in possession but offered little to Liverpool's attacking play. A steady presence in the centre of the pitch helping the Reds maintain possession.
Jones was lively in midfield, he worked tirelessly to regain possession. One of Liverpool’s most consistent performers, but he struggled to create clear-cut chances in the final third.
Energetic display in the midfield. Done well to control Brighton in the centre of the pitch. Made an incredibly intelligent forward pass to assist Gakpo's goal
Lively in attack, showing good movement and pressing Brighton’s backline. Scored two exceptional goals
Struggled to impose himself on the game. He was a threat throughout the game and eventually got a goal to put the game to bed.
Mac Allister added fresh legs to the midfield but didn’t significantly alter the game. His presence was solid defensively, but he couldn’t influence the match in an attacking sense.
Nyoni added energy to the side and helped control the midfield for the most part.
Had limited impact on the game but did well in the build-up for Diaz's goal
