Liverpool unlikely to sign Malick Fofana or Bradley Barcola | OneFootball

According to a report from The Times, Liverpool are unlikely to make a move for either Lyon’s Malick Fofana (20) or PSG’s Bradley Barcola (22) during the remainder of the summer transfer window. This is because Arne Slot is happy with his existing forward options.

The Reds’ pursuit of Alexander Isak is ongoing, but the likelihood of them signing a forward that is not the Sweden international looks minimal. The Premier League champions have been linked with multiple wide forwards, including Fofana and Barcola, but no material offer or interest has yet been forthcoming.

Liverpool developing from within

Rio Ngumoha (16) featured largely for the Anfield outfit and he impressed the Liverpool head coach. The former Chelsea attacker impressed that much, that the English club would rather create a pathway for the England youth international than spend a large sum on a new recruit. In addition, Federico Chiesa’s resurgence has reduced the need for a new wide forward on Merseyside before the window closes next week.
