Caught Offside have reported that Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas has yet to make a final decision on his future, with several Premier League clubs circling as they attempt to secure his signature.
Sources suggest the Greece international is willing to consider a move provided the project is right and, crucially, he can expect guaranteed playing time. At 29, regular football and potentially the opportunity to play in Europe are significant factors.
According to the report, “Fulham, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest are showing a strong interest in Tsimikas, while there are also clubs in Serie A who could be ready to move.”
Tsimikas has been a loyal squad option at Anfield since his arrival, providing cover for Andy Robertson and playing an important role in cup competitions. He will always be remembered for his composed penalty in the 2022 FA Cup final shoot-out against Chelsea, a moment that endeared him to the Kop.

However, the dynamics have shifted. The recent arrival of Milos Kerkez has reshaped Liverpool’s defensive options. The Hungarian is expected to step into the starting role at left-back, while Robertson is likely to serve as back-up. With two players ahead of him, Tsimikas finds himself surplus to requirements in Arne Slot’s squad.
Caught Offside highlighted that Tsimikas is carefully assessing his options and not rushing into a decision. “As for Tsimikas himself, he hasn’t made a final call yet. He’s open to joining a project where he can play regularly, with clubs competing in European competitions likely to be his top choice.”
Interest from Serie A adds another layer to the story. Italian clubs often value versatile defenders with Champions League experience, and Tsimikas fits that profile. His ability to push forward on the overlap and deliver from wide positions makes him an appealing candidate for teams needing attacking balance from defence.
The possibility of Tsimikas departing comes during a summer of major change at Liverpool. After winning the Premier League last season, Arne Slot has overseen a squad reshaping that has seen high-profile arrivals and exits.
Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Kerkez have all joined, while Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Trent Alexander-Arnold have departed. Tsimikas could soon follow them through the exit door.

Caught Offside also pointed to Newcastle striker Alexander Isak as another name to monitor, with the forward stating his intention to leave St James’ Park, a development Liverpool are keeping an eye on as they weigh further attacking reinforcements.
For Liverpool fans, this news will be tinged with gratitude and realism. Kostas Tsimikas has been a dependable squad member, stepping in when needed and never letting the team down. His composure, energy and professionalism have made him a favourite with supporters, particularly in those moments when rotation was essential.
However, with the signing of Milos Kerkez, the writing has been on the wall for some time. Liverpool now have a long-term left-back option and Robertson remains a trusted figure. For Tsimikas, the pathway to meaningful minutes is blocked. At 29, sitting on the bench week after week is unlikely to appeal, especially when his career still has several years left at a high level.
Fans will understand his desire to seek regular football, ideally in Europe. If a move to Fulham, Leeds or Forest materialises, it keeps him in the Premier League, where he has proven he can cope with the demands. Alternatively, Serie A offers a different challenge, one that could suit his style and tactical strengths.
Ultimately, supporters will wish him well. Tsimikas was never a star, but he was the kind of squad player who makes a difference in key moments. If he leaves, he will do so with appreciation for his service, particularly that unforgettable penalty at Wembley.
