Liverpool midfielder responds to Real Madrid transfer links | OneFootball

While Trent Alexander-Arnold is widely expected to join Real Madrid this summer, another Liverpool player has also drawn the attention of the Spanish giants – Alexis Mac Allister.

The 26-year-old Argentine international is on Real Madrid’s radar, with the La Liga champions targeting a move for a new midfielder. As such, there is speculation growing that he could leave Anfield in June.

Mac Allister addresses Real Madrid interest

Mac Allister’s father has already spoken publicly about the rumours, stating that the midfielder is happy at Liverpool. Now the player himself has addressed the links.

When asked about the rumours during an interview with Argentine outlet TyC Sports (h/t Mundo Deportivo), Mac Allister remained diplomatic and avoided giving away any concrete information about his future.

“I read the rumours and the news reaches me, but what matters is the present,” he said. “Even if the club wants me, if I play badly at the weekend, they will lose interest.”

He went on to express his contentment with life at Liverpool, saying: “I am happy here and I have no need to move. I respect the club a lot and do not think it is necessary to speak about other institutions.

“It feels like a family. Everything can be summed up in one phrase: ‘You’ll never walk alone.’”

For now, Mac Allister remains fully committed to Liverpool, even as interest from top clubs across Europe continues to swirl around him.
