Reds welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Anfield in their Champions League decider this week
It’s one down and two to go in terms of “cup finals” for Liverpool following their 3-1 win over Southampton.
The Reds came from behind at the weekend to beat the Premier League’s bottom side and in the process move one step closer to being crowned champions of England for the second time in five years.
With Arne Slot’s side very much on course for domestic success, attentions shift back towards the Champions League and Tuesday’s Champions League second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.
Leading 1-0 from the first leg thanks to a goalkeeping masterclass from Alisson Becker and Harvey Elliott’s late goal, the Reds will look to get the job done at Anfield before moving on to Wembley to face Newcastle in the Carabao Cup Final.
A huge week awaits and Slot will need to make full use of his squad.
Having said all that, here’s a look at the latest Liverpool injuries…
Cody Gakpo sat out the 3-1 win over Southampton and Slot revealed the Dutchman hadn’t returned to training beforehand.
“He didn’t train yesterday yet, so let’s see if he can train with us today,” Slot told reporters in the pre-match press conference.
“Again, [a] close call it will probably be. It’s not a long-term injury but he still had a bit of pain yesterday so he was not able to train. Let’s see where he is today, so I can’t give you the answer yet.”
Potential return date: Unknown
Conor Bradley was forced off injured against Aston Villa last month and has missed the last four games as a result.
Speaking before the Newcastle game, Slot said: “Conor Bradley isn't ok.
“He is out for a few weeks. It is clear that he went off with a muscle injury and it will take a while before he is back.”
Potential return date: Unknown
Joe Gomez has endured a frustrating time of things on the injury front this season. The defender suffered a hamstring injury at West Ham in December and briefly returned for Liverpool’s shock FA Cup defeat to Plymouth.
He was forced off there and Slot has confirmed Gomez is facing “some time” out of action.
“He is going to be out for a number of weeks because of a hamstring injury,” he said.

"It's a big blow for Joe and for us. He tries everything to be with the team. He works really hard to come back and then first game when he came back, after two or three minutes we saw him making a sprint and now he is out for weeks again.”
