In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Liverpool have identified Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo as a replacement for Luis Diaz, who joined Bayern Munich recently. It is believed that the Reds have set their sights on the Brazilian wide player this summer.

Rodrygo enjoyed a decent campaign at the Madrid club as he put in a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 24-year-old found the back of the net 14 times and secured 11 assists in 54 appearances for Los Blancos last season across multiple competitions.

The Brazil international caught the eye in the opponent’s half by averaging 2.52 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He kept 37% of his attempts on target. Rodrygo even distributed the ball well after making 85.9% of his attempted passes in the Spanish first division (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will run out in the summer of 2028. Hence, Liverpool would have to launch a big offer if they are serious about recruiting Rodrygo this off-season.

Rodrygo can use his pace and dribbling ability to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to create some inviting chances for others around him in the final third.
