In a recent report, journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Liverpool have identified Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as a target. It has been mentioned that the Reds are showing interest in recruiting the French wide player this summer.
Barcola enjoyed an excellent run of form at the French club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of impressive displays for them on the left flank. The French wing wizard found the back of the net 21 times and picked up 21 assists in 64 matches for PSG last season across various competitions.
The 22-year-old was not shy of having a strike at goal as he averaged 3.05 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1. He kept 51.4% of his attempts on target. Barcola was even tidy when interchanging possession with his teammates in the opponent’s half after making 81.7% of his attempted passes in the French top tier (stats via fbref.com).
Barcola’s current deal at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Liverpool to land him on a cut-price deal this month.

Barcola has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive third of the field. Barcola is primarily a left-winger but can also play as a right-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if needed.
The French talent has proven his worth as a consistent goal-scorer in Ligue 1. However, the jury is still out on whether he can cope with the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to bring him on board this summer.
Barcola would no doubt enhance the quality of Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s frontline. He has what it takes to help the Reds compete for a lot of major silverware over the next decade.
At 22, Barcola has the potential to be a generational talent. Therefore, Liverpool should consider launching a move for him soon as he would be a welcome addition to Slot’s match-day squad.
