The influence Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have had on the culture of Liverpool FC in the past 14 years has both united and divided fans.
John W. Henry and his cronies have acquired a reputation that doesn’t suit the ethos of a modern Premier League football team.
Famously, when it comes to spending money, they seem reluctant to splash the cash.
On rare occasions, such as the purchases of Virgil van Dijk for £85 million and Alisson for £62.5 million, we can see the owners' commitment to bettering the future of the club with signings who have solidified their status as club legends.
However recently, including this summer’s transfer window and the supposed lack of intent to settle certain players' contracts, the financial activity has completely stagnated.
This may have something to do with the latest news coming out of the Boston Red Sox camp which could ultimately concern Reds fans.

There is a reason why he's already training with the first team even though he only turned 16 years of age in the summer.
Before that he was training with the senior team at Chelsea as a mere 15 year old. He had club legends like John Terry tipping him to go very far in the game.
And we are seeing why there was so much hype around Ngumoha now as he continues to catch the eye at U18 level for Liverpool.
This time around Ngumoha made his opponent look completely silly with some subtle movements that were very Ronaldinho esque.
His decision to stand still before his brilliant quick footwork is something that goes back to the era of old.

In a recent training video, the midfielder picks up the ball, turns and strikes from distance with the shot crashing against the crossbar.
It’s a sweet hit, but what caught the attention of fans is someone shouting, “go on Xabi Alonso!”.
The fact that even the team compares him to one of the greatest midfielders of this generation is immensely exciting.
Slot needs to use him more. The Reds have a lot of games in the calendar coming up and his ability has shown he is more than capable of stepping up. Players like Alexis Mac Allister are well overdue a rest. This is where Tyler can come in and shine.

An injury crisis has led to calls for Real Madrid to resign Ramos to bolster their defence ahead of the Liverpool match.
The Madrid legend left Los Blancos at the end of the 2022/23 season to return to his first club Sevilla, but is now a free agent having been released at the end his contract.
Madrid have had lots of fitness troubles this season, with Eder Militao the latest to be ruled out after injuring his ACL for the second time in two years during a recent match against Osasouna.
DAZN commented saying, "Sergio Ramos is without a team. Right back and centre back. In this situation, I clearly see him at zero cost. He comes from playing last year in Seville and doing well.

Last week we wrote about Ojrzynski's transfer situation and that the goalkeeper was seemingly back on Merseyside.
Ojrzynski was sent out on loan to the Cypriot side, Spartakos Kitiou in the summer. The move was greeted with a lot of excitement and described as a 'massive' transfer by his agency, EL Sports Agency.
But the excitement has quickly turned into dread for the Polish goalkeeper with his move falling through due to mistakes in the paperwork submitted by Liverpool and his Cypriot club.
This left the youngster in a limbo for months and ultimately saw him return to Merseyside.
Now the club have confirmed that Ojrzynski is back training with Liverpool and he was spotted training with the first team in the latest inside training video released by LFCTV.
It's great to see him back in Liverpool and being able to train again.
The last few months must have been difficult for the 21-year-old.

18 year old Ben Doak isn't quite Messi's level just yet. But he has been in great form recently.
In his last two games on loan at Middlesbrough, Doak has registered three assists and has caught the eye with electrifying performances.
As per FotMob he completed the most dribbles (10) and created the most chances (10) for Middlesbrough.
For a while now he's been tipped to be the future of Liverpool. Ever since arriving from Celtic, that's all we have heard.
And if he keeps this momentum and run of form, there is nothing stopping him from getting into Arne Slot's first team next season.

The international break has started, with Liverpool players heading off to their national team setups across the world over the course of the next few days.
But Salah is not one of those set to hop on a plane, having excused himself from selection for the Egyptian national team.
Egyptian journalist Ismael Mahmoud is reporting on X that part of Salah’s decision to stay at home this week is because he and the club will be entering serious contract negotiations on a two-year deal.
“I've been told that Mohamed Salah staying at Liverpool during the international break will be very important for the club to begin serious contract renewal negotiations,” Mahmoud says.
“Been told too that Liverpool knows Salah is asking for a new two-year contract.”
Whether FSG will be willing to offer him a deal of that length remains to be seen, but Salah has answered any questions about his form and fitness this season, and is still going from strength to strength.
