Girona FC and Fenerbahçe SK have reached an agreement for the loan of Croatian international goalkeeper Dominik Livaković until the end of the season.
Born in Zadar on January 9, 1995, Livaković arrives at Montilivi following a solid career at the European elite level. Trained at NK Zagreb, where he debuted in the Croatian First League during the 2012-13 season, he guarded the club's goal for four seasons before signing with Dinamo Zagreb. With the Croatian capital's team, he played nearly 300 official matches and won eleven titles, becoming a key player both in the domestic league and in European competitions. In 2023, he began a new chapter at Fenerbahçe, the club he comes from. With the Turkish team, Livaković played 74 matches (including 57 in the Turkish Super League, 6 in the Europa League, 6 more in the Conference League, and 5 in Champions League qualifiers), keeping a clean sheet on 26 occasions.
Recognized for his reliability under the posts, his reflexes, and his ability in penalty shootouts, Livaković has been a key figure in decisive moments with the Croatian national team. A full international since 2016, he was part of the team that finished as runners-up in the 2018 World Cup in Russia and was one of the standout names in Qatar 2022, with memorable saves that propelled Croatia to the semifinals.
With his arrival, Girona FC strengthens its goalkeeping position with a player of proven track record and extensive international experience.
