Lille have reignited talks with Scottish Premiership giants Glasgow Rangers FC to sign Moroccan international centre-forward Hamza Igamane (22), as per Foot Mercato. The 22-year-old has long been touted as Lille’s primary target to bolster Bruno Genesio’s options up front, despite Olivier Giroud’s red-hot form with Les Dogues. The former France international centre-forward has two goals in as many Ligue 1 games.
On his part, Igamane would be keen to play in Ligue 1. This Sunday, the Moroccan international seemingly refused to come on as a substitute during the Gers’ 1-1 league draw against St. Mirren, according to head coach Russell Martin. The report understands that Lille have resumed talks with Rangers to sign Igamane. Les Dogues could imminently submit a bid for the Moroccan international striker. Lille will play Lorient this Saturday for Ligue 1’s third matchday.
