Ligue 1 outfit Lille are in pole position to land 22-year-old Japanese international attacker Keito Nakamura from Austrian 1st division side LASK, according to Foot Mercato.
Les Dogues are coming closer to meeting the price demands that have been laid out by LASK, who are hoping for an initial package of €11m. Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt have also been pushing to attempt to close a deal aggressively.
The Austrian side are hoping to incite a bidding war between the two parties – in the meantime, they have rejected a €7m bid that was made by Premier League side Liverpool, in a deal that would have included the player going immediately back out on loan. LASK were not enticed.
Nakamura was initially quite against the idea of a move to France, but appears to be slowly coming around to this notion and is evening making enquiries about Lille, northern France and the surrounding area as he continues to go through his decision-making process.
